Is instant hypnosis simply posthypnotic suggestions?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Could displays of instant hypnosis be simple posthypnotic suggetions that the hypnotist gave the subject?
for example if the hypnotist previously hypnotised a person and said to him “When i touch your head and say ’sleep’ you will instantly fall into a trance”.
Later this could appear to be instant hypnosis.
Or is instant hypnosis a real thing?

By Knowing – is the First Part of – UnderstandinG

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009
What I mean by this is as I’m sure you can understand by knowing about this method more you can understand when people are going into this mode. I look back [oo] and realise educated people are consistently using psychological methods to overcome and override every situation. In London you can’t even go out the door without someone trying on psychological tests. NLP is a safe way i think of knowing when to engage in this type of stuff. Again it is an easy-way of knowing before the chapter unfolds. Hindsight I guess.

Auditory Disaster

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009
I have been paying close attention to how I mess myself up in a particular situation. I basically hear commands…its my voice, its panicky, its rapid, Its almost as if I am part of a SWAT team on a mission and the leader is giving commands to ensure my survival. I don’t make any pictures for that particular scenario. It has become highly automatic and very very powerful. It’s like I had to obey the commands at any cost. I realized that this is the same strategy I use to cope with any unfamiliar, strange, alien scenarios. I am trying now to shift submodalities around with little or no luck. Any specific techniques, tactics on how to develop the ability to shift auditory submodalities would be really helpful. Also please let me know if any other techniques other than submodality shifts would help. There are n number of routines for strategies involving visual modality and I also understand from the advices from the thread that majority of the members here have had experience in solving problems involving visual modality. I am really interested in the experience of anyone who have had the same kind of strategy involving auditory commands that was not serving them well in certain situations and they did something to change that. Thank you very much in advance.
