my mom told me that when she was younger, she hypnotized this boy to think he was in a plane crash, and it worked. they even recorded it and the boy was so freaked out that he broke the tape. he coudlnt believe my mom did that. could someone hypnotize someone even without really knowing how to do it?

The mind has to be willing to accept the hypnotizing. If it doesn’t or doesn’t believe – it won’t happen.
Its worked with countless people to stop smoking and lose weight. I’ve seen it. However, its never worked on me – no matter how hard someone tries…and I try hard to believe. Still, it works most of the time.
I think that only people with knowledge on how to do hypnosis can do it and also, the person being hypnotized has to be willing to. On the other hand, there are many things in daily life that hypnotize people, one of them could be simple commercials on TV.
It depends. I went to one of those State Fair Hypnotists, but it didn’t work for me
How vulnerable is the one being hypnotized…like their natural demeanor!….. How sultry is the one doing the hypnotizing…..I think every thing is possible if you stretch your mind and are living outside the box but operate with in it!
Easy or difficult depends on expertise and subject matter’s willingness.
For a non professional, it is NOT easy to hypnotize someone else.
